How it all started...
Auburn Christian Church was started in 1876. It was planted by homesteaders and other visionaries who wanted to see a Bible believing, Gospel preaching church established. As they became further established and grew in number, they established a building at the location we currently meet at, 15th & Courthouse in Auburn. A couple decades later, the church had outgrown her small building, and so a new place of worship was built in 1912: the currently Legacy Worship building which we still worship in as a church each Sunday morning to this day. All the while, faithful Christians gathered, prayed, taught and preached faithfully, loved one another and their community well. They solidified an identity that still resides in the words on the wall of the worship center: "A Family of Believers Joined Together to Bring People to Christ.
Expanding the vision...
In 2019, ACC set off on a path toward her future by embarking on the Harvest Campaign. The vision? To construct a new Family Life Center, as well as remodeling our current facility for kids ministry. In 2023, all of those dreams of the past 20 years became reality, as the Family Life Center opened. The church now had a greatly expanded base for youth ministry, fellowship activities and other events for church and community.
Where we are headed...
Ultimately, the church is not a building. The church is made up of people, disciples of Christ working together to bring the next generation faith in Jesus. ACC has the tools for the future, now the people will work to put them to use. We stand united as a church to Love Christ and love our Auburn community.
